Privacy policy
Account information
We store your email, account identifier, selected interface language and, when provided by Google, your profile name. We use these details to authenticate you and manage access.
Page queries
To display people, the service receives the Wikipedia page identifier and page language. It reads the associated QID list and returns eligible people. The product does not use AI.
Billing
We store orders, subscription periods, payment references and verified Stripe events to reconcile billing and membership. Card details are processed by Stripe rather than stored in the Timeview database.
Cookies
HTTP-only cookies hold sign-in credentials. A language cookie remembers English or Chinese. Temporary session storage supports login redirects and payment retry identifiers.
Service providers and requests
Google is used for Google sign-in; the configured email provider sends verification codes; Stripe processes payments. Contact Timeview to request help with your account or personal information.
Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand production website visits and extension usage. Google may use cookies on the website; website page views exclude URL query parameters and fragments. The extension uses a random installation identifier and temporary session identifier to report installation, updates, side panel and media page visits, and PNG or MP4 exports. Extension analytics do not include Wikipedia pages, figure names, login credentials or contact information.
